Simone Akila is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker with a background in social justice, behavioral health, and perinatal mental health. A graduate of Howard University, she has held prestigious fellowships and alumni affiliations connected to behavioral health and community advocacy. She co-founded Black-centered organizing collectives focused on healing justice and community empowerment, while also supporting birthing and parenting individuals through psychotherapy practice in Washington, D.C.
